40 hours and counting...

We have been out of power for over 40 hours now. We were able to stay at the house all day yesterday because we have a gas fireplace and a hot water heater run by gas, but we ended up having to go to Eric's parent's house for the evening. We decided that 14 degrees was way too cold to try to sleep through. We currently have all our refigerated food outside in coolers so hopefully we don't lose everything. We are crossing our fingers that power will be restored in our neighborhood so we can sleep in our own bed tonight! Snow days are no fun when you can't spend that at your own house eating homemade chili and watching movies:(

Fondue!!

We had our first "dinner party" in our new house on Saturday night. Brian, Abbie, and Macie came over for a Fondue dinner.

We had cheese fondue first, with bread, broccoli, and apples to dip in it.

Our main course was Coq au Vin fondue with chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, and potatoes.

Of course, we had to have chocolate fondue before the meal was finished! We had strawberries, graham crackers, brownies, marshmallows, and bananas.

Peanut Butter met Macie again for the second time, but he still can't figure out who or what she is. Macie slept through the whole thing!
